Continual Professional Development Courses
A range of courses to increase knowledge and gain some hands-on experience using various roofing materials.
Candidate criteria
The range of roofing topics covered will be of interest to specifiers, architects, surveyors, conservation officers and home owners.
Course attendance
½ day course (includes light refreshments)
Course elements
The courses will cover elements of:
- peg tiling
- random slating
- stone slating
- the use of lime mortar and torching techniques
Course materials
As the courses include elements of hands-on work, you need to wear suitable clothing and provide your own safety boots. We will provide all necessary tools, materials and further safety clothing and equipment for use at the Training Centre. Tea and coffee making facilities are available at the Centre.
