The programme
An opportunity for roofers, builders, or anyone looking to learn and develop skills and techniques used in Lead Bossing and/or Lead Welding.
This course gives participants a solid understanding of health and safety practices when working with lead. In Lead Bossing, you’ll learn how to shape and form lead for roofing projects using hand tools and cold-working methods. In Lead Welding, you’ll develop skills to create joints and basic leadwork details using welding equipment.
These Lead Sheet Training Academy (L.S.T.A.) accredited courses are delivered in small groups, allowing each participant to benefit fully from the tutor’s expertise and hands-on guidance.

Candidate criteria
Some previous experience in lead-work would be beneficial, but not esscential.

Course materials
As the courses are practical, you need to wear suitable work clothing and provide your own safety boots. We will provide all necessary tools, materials and further safety clothing and equipment for use at the Training Centre. Tea and coffee making facilities are available at the Centre, but you will need to bring your own lunch.
Funding
If you or your company is registered with CITB, grants may be available for attending this short duration course.
