We have been busy so far this summer at the Training Centre!
The CITB Apprentices have been in for another 4-week session. One cohort has been working with slates, and the second with tiles – progress is being made! Well done lads, keep up the good work. For more information on the CITB Apprenticeship programme click here
We ran a 1-day Lead Upskilling course, which was on a one-to-one basis. The participant found the course to be particularly useful. For more information on Lead Courses click here
We also ran a 5-day bespoke Short course on plain tiles. The participant was very impressed with the course, and said:
Just a note to let you know that I thought the training provided by Pete and Yusof was absolutely first rate. Not only did I acquire the skills I needed to tackle the vast majority of the roof work needed at our house, but I gained an awful lot of latent knowledge that only experienced tradesmen could provide. The one-to-one tuition was extremely effective, and it gave me the opportunity to ask many questions about my particular circumstances that I might otherwise not have had.
A second 4-day general roofing Upskilling programme was created for an operative from First Wessex Housing Association, covering: plain tiling, interlocking tiling and some elements of lead work. Our popular 1-day GRP flat roof course was fully subscribed. The participants were impressed by the facilities, gained knowledge and hands-on experience, and enjoyed the buffet lunch! For more information on the GRP Course click here
